目前擔任德州農工大學（Texas A&M University）布希政府與公共服務學院 「斯考克羅夫特國際事務研究所」（Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs）所長及傑出實務教授。此外，亦擔任國防大學聯合參謀學院高級研究員、亞太安全研究中心傑出客座研究員，以及「外交關係協會」（CFR）成員。同時具備作家、演說家、顧問與媒體評論員等多重身分。
