Five political scientists from the University of Illinois visited the College of Social Sciences at National Taiwan University on June 3, 2026. The academic exchange meeting was chaired by Professor Chia-chen Chou, Associate Dean of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at NTU, Director of the Hu Fu Center for East Asia Democratic Studies, and Professor at the Graduate Institute of National Development. On behalf of Dean Yu-tzung Chang, Professor Chou also presented gifts to the visiting delegation consisting of Professors Matthew S. Winters, Cara Wong, and Andreas Feldmann as well as Associate Professor E.J. Fagan and Assistant Professor Don Casler.
The discussion was joined by Jason Kuo, Associate Dean for International Affairs of the College of Social Sciences; Associate Professors Hsin-che Wu and Yi-hao Su of the Department of Political Science; and Assistant Professor Jiun-Da Lin of the Graduate Institute of National Development. The participants engaged in a wide-ranging exchange of views on potential areas for future collaboration in teaching and research.
