On March 11, 2025, Professor Carsten Schultz, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences at Kiel University in Germany, visited National Taiwan University (NTU). To mark the occasion, the NTU College of Social Sciences and College of Public Health jointly organized an academic research exchange workshop at the Gongbei Lecture Hall in the College of Public Health.
Representing the College of Social Sciences, International Director Prof. Kuo Ming-Chieh welcomed Dean Schultz on behalf of Dean Prof. Chang Youzong and gave an overview of the college’s programs and recent initiatives. Also participating were Prof. Hung Chen-Shuo, Prof. Lin Meng-Rong, and Ms. Hung Hsiao-Ying. From the College of Public Health, Dean Prof. Cheng Shou-Hsia led a delegation that included Director Prof. Chang Shu-Sen, Director Prof. Cheng Ya-Wen, Prof. Chen Duan-Rong, Prof. Chen Ya-Mei, Prof. Kuo Nian-Jen, Prof. Li Da-Yu, and several graduate students.
During the workshop, Dean Schultz delivered a presentation titled “The Implementation of AI in Medicine,” highlighting the latest research advances at Kiel University in applying artificial intelligence to healthcare. The event concluded successfully at noon.
